Purpose:

The Donor Services Review Supervisor will oversee the work of assigned Donor Services Review

Specialists to maximize donation. The Supervisor will contribute to the departmental success through day-to-day support and oversight of workload and activity in Donor Services.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee completion of DS activities to maintain a high level of donor satisfaction.
  • Root-cause analysis and process improvement plans related to department functions.
  • Conduct employee appraisal, performance improvement plans, and corrective action plans under the direction of the Senior Donor Services Review Manager
  • Approve employee timesheets and PTO requests.
  • Monitors and enters department metrics into appropriate tracking sheets to provide feedback to assigned team members on individual and departmental performance.
  • Meets with assigned team members monthly, at minimum, to discuss individual performance and performance as related to specific department metrics.
  • Able to provide clear direction to others related to all expected duties of staff.
  • Support collaboration with other departments to promote organizational success and growth.
  • Identify initial suitability for tissue donors in accordance with all internal and external policies.
  • Ensures accuracy and completeness of documentation in relevant logs and donor files
  • Ensures adequate staffing on all shifts.
  • Oversees communication with other supervisors and leadership on all DS related activities to maximize departmental opportunities.
  • Ensure communication related to tissue donor referrals.
  • Maintain a proficient working knowledge of AATB Standards, cGMP/cGTP, and the organizations Policies and Procedures.
  • Starting job duties on time, staying on the job throughout the assigned shift to complete duties properly, and attending all scheduled meetings and appointments.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Skills & Abilities:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
  • Excellent organizational and recordkeeping skills required.
  • Direct experience in a healthcare setting is strongly preferred.
  • Detail-oriented and accurate documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills required.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team required.
  • Ability to secure and maintain a favorable background investigation and clearance.

 

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor`s degree in a biological science or related field required.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in an FDA regulated environment for HCT/Ps and/or medical devices (or related field)
  • 1 – 2 years of supervisory experience.
